Dad, you have finally and mercifully been taken to end this most horrendous suffering from Dementia. You are now at peace with family and loved ones that have gone before you, this I take comfort in knowing that you will be enveloped with their love.

I will miss you and think of you often, your polite gentleman ways, jokiness, easygoing, love of Great Grandaughter Delphie - she loved visiting you at either home or at the care homes.

When visiting you I would ask:
“Are you alright Dad”
“yes, it’s the others” you would reply with a sparkle in your beautiful blue eyes, then we would both laugh.

Thank You to the staff at Brookfield Care Home for the excellent care and support given to Dad and the support given to me, it did and still does mean a lot to me.
Thank You for taking him out too, he loved been outside in nature, in fresh air.
Also thank you to Stainton Lodge staff for the excellent care and support they gave Dad, even though he was only there a short time.
Both these homes truly know ‘What Dementia and Dementia Care is and how to look after individuals with this most dreadful condition.

Lots of Love
Daughter Jacqui and Son - in - Law Kev, Grandson John and fiancee Molly
Grandaughter Rebecca and husband Dale, Greatgrandaughters Delphie and Rumer.

May you Rest in Peace Dad x
